Award winning Ghanaian gospel artist, Selina Boateng has called
for Ghanaian Gospel artistes who sing for money and are in the industry as
saboteurs to desist from those acts.
She disclosed in an exclusive interview with the
Maxx Entertainment Crew that ever since she emerged as a gospel artiste, she
has realised that some gospel musicians are just in for the money only a few
are actually singing to spread the word of God.
She added, “For me I have been passing through a lot of
challenges, from friends, family side, people in the industry and a lot of
obstacles all because I sing to proclaim the word of God, but in all, God has
been faithful and He will take us to where He wants us to be.”
According to her the gospel music industry is now
lucrative enough, hence attracts people who just want to take advantage of the
business, but not to spread the word of God.
Selina Boateng is preparing to celebrate her 10
years anniversary in the gospel music industry in August this year. She plans
to have a huge event to commemorate her 10 years anniversary which will feature
renowned gospel acts like Daughters of Glorious Jesus, Tagoe Sisters, Ohemaa
Mercy amongst others.
