When we talk of
all time great local comedians who have made Ghanaians laugh their ribs off,
Samuel Buabeng, popularly known as Bishop Bob Okala is one of them.
Recently, Bishop
has come to state that his colleague, Adu Kofi, aka Egya Koo, also a great
local comedian/actor sabotaged him some time ago when he wanted to follow his career
in the Ghana movie industry.
Speaking to Feeling Daddy on the Penpenaa Show on Spice 91.9FM, Bishop Bob Okala revealed that, himself together with his two colleagues, namely Ecolack who is late and Asaase
Aban went to Miracle film production’s office in Kumasi some time ago for
employment, so that they could be fatured in some movies since the Ghana movie industry was rising. But when they got to
the premises of Miracle films, some of the employees hinted him that Egya Koo
said he will not be comfortable if the producer got them on board. This made them sad and returned
to Accra (their homes).
Finally, he
added that no matter how time may fly, he came into the comedy business before
Egya Koo; therefore Egya Koo is just a child.
