Ace Ghanaian rapper, Michael Owusu
Addo, popularly known in showbiz as Sarkodie, has been unveiled as the 2014 Ambassador for the
Ghana National Breastfeeding Campaign.
Speaking
on behalf of Sarkodie to the Maxx Entertainment Crew, Sammy Forson, manager of the multi award-winning
artiste said, Sarkodie is to use his fame to promote the culture of
breastfeeding among nursing mothers across the country. According to Sammy, the rapper will be reaching out to people together with the Sarkodie
foundation. He added that Sarkodie is really humbled by this opportunity as the
2014 ambassador for the Ghana National Breastfeeding Campaign because he is
very passionate about women and children and also the fact that he will help
effect a positive change.
Sammy Forson also urged young mothers to
constantly breastfeed their babies for at least a period exceeding six months.
According
to him, breastfeeding is essential, makes babies healthy and bonds the mother
and the baby.
