Africa’s
iconic boxing legend Azumah Nelson’s unrivaled boxing legacy has been etched in
the minds of boxing lovers as he, together with a host of others, were honoured
at the 52nd WBC Convention.
The ceremony
which came off yesterday December 15 at the Mirage Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada
also saw others being honoured for displaying excellence in their respective
categories.
Professor
Azumah Nelson and the late Alexis Arguello from Nicaragua were honoured for the
Super featherweight, while Salvador S’anchez and Jeff Fenech received honours
in Featherweight division.
Professor
Azumah Nelson was presented with a special award title belt.
Following
the honour, Azumah Nelson is set launch his book “The Professor” on at the
convention before returning to Ghana.
