DON’T BLAME US FOR SIMA’S DEATH - POLICE HOSPITAL

The Police Hospital says it cannot be blamed for the recent death of the Chief Executive Officer of the EXOPA modeling agency.

Ibrahim Sima died Friday at the Hospital after suffering an injury during a football game within the Nsawam prison walls.

The convicted narcotic trafficker was serving a 15-year jail term before his death.

Sima’s family claims the deceased was not given the needed care by both the Prison authorities and those at the Police Hospital after he suffered the injuries.

The Police hospital has rebuffed the blame salvo. Its Public Relations Officer ASP Juliana Obeng told STARR NEWS’ Ibrahim Alhassan in an interview on Monday that Sima died even before he could be attended to by Doctors on the fateful day.

“Honestly, when he was brought in, from the time we carried him from the ambulance to wherever we were supposed to have administered help to him, he passed on.

“It means then that Sima did not even spend five minutes here at the Police hospital” before his death, ASP Obeng explained.

The response of the Police comes on the heels of accusations of negligence against the police hospital by Sima’s son, Abu – a situation he blamed for the fashion icon’s passing.

“An act of negligence I do not know. I do not know if it’s because we have decided as a hospital to allow protocol procedures and processes, as it were, to be formally done or for us to respect these rules, that’s why the son is coming up with the act of negligence,” Obeng said.
