Lagos studios of the African Independent Television (AIT) was this morning, March 9. 2015 gutted by fire. The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained, but the fire has been successfully put out by men of the fire service.
Confirming the unfortunate incident, the Daar Communications – owned station confirmed the inferno through its official Twitter handle, writing: ‘Fire guts AIT’s studio in Alagbado, Lagos.’
The station later offered an update: ‘Fire at AIT’s Lagos studio has been put out by men of the Fire Service, no casualty recorded and the damage is being assessed.
