Among the few songs that can be classified as timeless, ‘Moko be’ by Nii Okai
is certainly one of them. Well, the song is officially a decade since its
release. And as part of the 10th Celebration of the song, Nii Okai
is on a nationwide church tour, embarking on a project dubbed “Moko B3 @
10 Saving Hearts”.
Over
the weekend, the Moko B3 @ 10 Saving Hearts Project was in Takoradi with the
Saving Hearts Benefit Concert at the International Central Gospel Church
(ICGC), The King’s Temple which featured Takoradi based Gospel Artiste Coda
and other acts.
In
an interview with the Maxx Entertainment Crew, Ernest Nii-Okai revealed that the
“Moko B3 @ 10 Saving Hearts” is a project to finance the heart
surgeries of 10 needy Ghanaian children with cardiovascular diseases, across
the 10 regions.
The
excited Minister reflected that “it’s been 10 years of God’s faithfulness and
graciousness; God called me and gave me a song that has put me on an
interesting and exciting journey of saving hearts spiritually. This project is
to complement that gift of God in a physical but impacting way. We will visit all the regions in the country.” he explained.
He
added that, he is looking forward to probably establishing a foundation that
will help finance more heart surgeries in the country even after this project,
and also thanked the people of Takoradi for our massive love and support.
The
project is in collaboration with the Ghana Heart Foundation and sponsored by
Standard Charted Bank and First Capital Plus among others. It will be crowned
with a thanksgiving concert on the 21st of December; the exact day
Moko B3 was released.
An
account with the name NII OKAI MINISTRY/SAVING HEARTS PROJECT is accessible at
any First Capital Plus branch for people who wish to contribute in saving more
hearts.
